Car Catches Fire in Fatal Newport Beach Accident

Newport Beach, CA (November 17, 2019) – A man was killed when he crashed into a store in Newport Beach. The fatal accident occurred on the evening of November 17 on West Coast Highway. 

An Infiniti coupe was heading west on West Coast Highway when it collided with South Coast Army & Navy, a surplus store. The car caught fire, slightly burning the building. The driver died at the accident scene. Nobody else was in the Infiniti.

E-Cigarette Use Linked To ‘Cobalt Lung’

A case study published in the European Respiratory Journal in December 2019 described a 49-year-old in California who developed hard-metal pneumoconiosis after using e-cigarettes for only six months. The disease is also known as “cobalt lung.” The National Institutes of Health describes the disease as a “rare but serious disease of the lungs associated with inhalational exposure to tungsten or cobalt dust.”
