Man Killed in Crash on 170 Freeway Near Roscoe Boulevard

North Hollywood, CA (February 29, 2020) – A man was killed in a multi-vehicle crash in North Hollywood. The fatal accident occurred on the evening of February 29 on the 170 Freeway.

A 30-year-old man from Van Nuys was heading south on the 170 Freeway, near Roscoe Boulevard. He was driving a Honda Del Sol when he suddenly slowed down and was rear-ended by a Lexus ES 350. The Honda then hit the center divider. A Lexus ES 350 then rear-ended the Honda, which caught fire.

The driver of the Honda could not be removed due to the intense heat from the fire. He died at the accident scene. A passenger in the Lexus ES 350, a 62-year-old woman, was hospitalized with minor injuries.
