Man Killed in Crash on Interstate 5 Near Mission Avenue


Victim Hit by Big Rig in Fatal Oceanside Accident

Oceanside, CA (September 10, 2020) – A man was killed in a crash in Oceanside. The fatal accident occurred on the morning of September 10 on Interstate 5.

A 51-year-old Fontana man was driving a big rig on southbound Interstate 5, near Mission Avenue, when he hit a 32-year-old man who was standing in the road. The man was then thrown into a southbound lane and hit by a Toyota Camry driven by a 31-year-old man from Carlsbad.

The pedestrian, a Vista resident, died at the accident scene. Both drivers remained at the crash site.
