Man Killed in Crash on Vineyard Avenue


Car Hits Pole in Fatal El Rio Accident

El Rio, CA (May 4, 2020) – A man was killed in a solo-vehicle crash in El Rio. The fatal accident occurred on the evening of May 4 on Vineyard Avenue.

Hector Owens, 20, from Ventura, was driving a Nissan Altima northbound on Vineyard Avenue when he was unable to negotiate a curve. He veered off the road and hit a utility pole. He suffered multiple blunt force injuries and died at the accident scene.
