Pickup Truck Driver Violates Right of Way in Fatal Visalia Accident

Visalia, CA (May 30, 2019) – A man died after he collided with a pickup truck in Visalia. The fatal accident occurred on the morning of May 30 at Avenue 309 and Highway 216.

A woman, identified as Mary Taylor, was driving a pickup and making a left turn onto eastbound Highway 216. She allegedly violated the motorcycle’s right of way during her left turn. The motorcyclist, a 21-year-old man, tried to avoid hitting the pickup, but the two vehicles collided.

The man was ejected from the motorcycle. He suffered major injuries but was conscious and speaking with emergency crews right after the accident. However, he later died while en route to the hospital. Taylor was not injured in the crash.

The man was wearing a helmet, but did not have a license or insurance. Both parties are from Visalia.
