Victim Hit by 2 Cars in Fatal Long Beach Accident

Long Beach, CA (February 4, 2020) – A man was killed in a pedestrian crash in Long Beach. The fatal accident occurred on the evening of February 4 on Artesia Boulevard.

A man wearing a dark jacket and jeans was crossing the road, near Atlantic Avenue, when he was hit by two vehicles. The man died at the accident scene. Both drivers remained at the crash site.

E-Cigarette Use Linked To ‘Cobalt Lung’

A case study published in the European Respiratory Journal in December 2019 described a 49-year-old in California who developed hard-metal pneumoconiosis after using e-cigarettes for only six months. The disease is also known as “cobalt lung.” The National Institutes of Health describes the disease as a “rare but serious disease of the lungs associated with inhalational exposure to tungsten or cobalt dust.”
