Woman Faces Possible Manslaughter Charges in Fatal Marina Accident

Marina, CA (June 4, 2019) – A man was killed when he was rear-ended by a driver in Marina. The fatal accident occurred on the morning of June 4 on Highway 1.

A 72-year-old man from Monterey had pulled over on the shoulder of southbound Highway 1. His Kia Soul was hit by a woman driving a Subaru who veered off the road while entering the freeway at Reservation Road. The man, who was in the driver’s seat, was killed in the crash.

The woman, a 28-year-old Marina resident, suffered moderate injuries and was taken to a local hospital. She faces possible charges of vehicular manslaughter.
