Oakland, CA (June 2, 2019) – A man was killed in an Amtrak train crash in Oakland. The fatal accident occurred on the morning of June 2 at 85th Avenue and San Leandro Street.

The man was driving on the railroad tracks when he collided head-on with the Capitol Corridor 728 train. The vehicle, which was illegally on the tracks, caught fire after the crash. There were 64 passengers aboard the train, but none were injured.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to the friends and loved ones of the victim.
