Victim Dies in Fatal Simi Valley Accident

Simi Valley, CA (July 1, 2019) – A man was hit and killed by an Amtrak train in Simi Valley. The fatal accident occurred on the morning of July 1 on Cochran Street.

A man was walking on train tracks in the 650 block of Cochran Street when he was hit from behind by Pacific Surfliner train 763. The victim, a man in his 40s, died at the accident scene. None of the 262 passengers aboard the train were injured.
