Stolen Car Bursts Into Flames in Fatal Crockett Accident

Crockett, CA (May 17, 2020) – A man was killed when a stolen car went off a bridge in Crockett. The fatal accident occurred on the afternoon of May 17 on the Carquinez Bridge.

A man was driving a stolen car when he failed to negotiate a curve and went off the Carquinez Bridge. The car fell more than 100 feet and landed on the shoreline, near the C&H Factory. The car caught fire. The man’s body was burned so badly that police could not identify him. He was the only person inside the vehicle.
