Man Seriously Injured in Crash at West Camino Cielo and Kinevan Road

Santa Barbara, CA (July 10, 2019) – A man suffered serious injuries in a crash in Santa Barbara. The accident happened on the afternoon of July 10 at West Camino Cielo and Kinevan Road.

A Toyota Sienna was traveling east when it went over the side of the intersection, in the Los Padres National Forest. The cause of the crash is unknown. 

The Toyota went approximately 200 feet off the road. The driver, a 76-year-old man from Santa Barbara, was ejected from the vehicle. He was hospitalized with serious injuries.

PG&E Says It Knew Its Lines Could Spark Fires

PG&E Corp acknowledged in July 2019 that it has known for many years that its power lines could fail, sparking wildfires in the process. The acknowledgment came in a federal court filing which had been mandated by U.S. district judge William Alsup, who had ordered PG&E to respond to a Wall Street Journal article on a “paragraph-by-paragraph basis.”
