Marcos Murrieta Killed in Crash on Ortega Highway Near El Cariso Road


Victim Loses Control of Motorcycle in Fatal Lake Elsinore Accident

Lake Elsinore, CA (August 14, 2020) – A man was killed in a motorcycle crash in Lake Elsinore. The fatal accident occurred on the evening of August 14 on Ortega Highway.

Marcos Murrieta, 36, of Menifee, was riding a Kawasaki motorcycle on westbound Ortega Highway, near El Cariso Road. He was speeding around a curve when he lost control and went over the center line. Murrieta ended up in the path of a Toyota Prius.

The two vehicles collided. Murrieta died at the accident scene. The driver of the Prius was not injured.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to the friends and loved ones of Marcos Murrieta.
