Margarita Reyes Killed in Crash on Compton Avenue

4 Vehicles Involved in Fatal Los Angeles Accident

Los Angeles, CA (December 9, 2020) – A woman was killed in a multi-vehicle crash in Los Angeles. The fatal accident occurred on the evening of December 9 on Compton Avenue.

A 2014 Nissan was traveling on Compton Avenue when it collided head-on with a Toyota driven by John Cardenas, 23, of Compton. The Toyota then collided head-on with a 2015 Nissan. The 2015 Nissan then hit a Line 55 Metro bus. 

A passenger in the 2014 Nissan, identified as Margarita Reyes, 54, of Los Angeles, died at the accident scene. The driver of that vehicle, George Ortega, 20, of Los Angeles, suffered major injuries. Cardenas also suffered major injuries. 

The driver of the 2015 Nissan, Faustino Acosta, 39, of Los Angeles, also suffered major injuries, as did a passenger. Three other passengers suffered moderate injuries.
