Fatal Riverdale Accident Kills 1, Injures 5 Others

Riverdale, CA (August 2, 2019) – A head-on crash in Riverdale has killed one person and injured five others. The fatal accident occurred on the evening of August 2 at Highway 41 and Harlan Avenue.

Arkansas resident Maria Martinez Ramirez, 20, was legally passing a vehicle on Highway 41 when she hit another car head-on. She died at the accident scene. 

Ramirez crashed into a vehicle carrying a family of four. A Good Samaritan stopped to help the injured family. As she walked across the street, she was hit by a car. In all, five people were taken to a local hospital. Three victims were children between the ages of 6 and 15. They suffered minor to major injuries.
