Pittsburg Crash Claims Life of Maurelle Cater
Pittsburg,CA (June 24, 2018) –A crash in Pittsburg has claimed the life of a man. The fatal accident occurred on the morning of June 24 on Highway 4.
Offices responded to a solo vehicle rollover in the eastbound lanes of Highway near the Loveridge Road off-ramp. Speed was a factor in the crash, which occurred when a Jeep Grand Cherokeecollided with a concrete curb and flipped over. Maurelle Cater, a 25-year-old manfrom Antioch, died at the accident scene after being ejected from the Jeep.
A female passenger in the Jeep was also ejected. She suffered major injuries but is expected to recover. It is believed neither person was wearing a seatbelt.
