Metro Worker Killed in Stabbing at 7th Street/Metro Center


Man Dies in Fatal Los Angeles Incident

Los Angeles, CA (October 16, 2020) – A metro worker was killed by a woman after a verbal dispute in a downtown Los Angeles rail station. The fatal incident occurred on the evening of October 16 at the 7th Street/Metro Center subway station.

The man, a Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority worker was talking to a woman on a Red Line train. A verbal dispute led the woman to arm herself and stab the man in his chest. Paramedics took the man to L.A. County-USC Medical Center, where he later died.

Police released a wanted flier for the stabbing suspect. Freeze-frame images from the Metro’s security camera system show a woman with long dark hair and a bright green bicycle. She is believed to be between 25 and 30 years old.
