Michael Pace Killed in Crash on Blue Lakes Road


Car Goes Down Embankment in Fatal Markleeville Accident

Markleeville, CA (August 5, 2020) – A man was killed in a crash in Markleeville. The fatal accident occurred on the morning of August 5 on Blue Lakes Road.

Michael Pace, 74, of Nevada, was driving southbound on Blue Lakes Road when he failed to turn at a left curve in the road. The car ran onto the gravel shoulder. He tried to correct himself, but his car overturned. It fell 150 feet down an embankment and hit a tree. Pace died in the crash.
