Victim Hit by Car in Fatal Vallejo Accident

Vallejo, CA (September 21, 2019) – A bicyclist was killed in a crash in Vallejo. The fatal accident occurred on the morning of September 21 on Fairgrounds Drive.

A car was traveling north on Fairgrounds Drive when it hit a bicycle near Gateway Drive. The bicycle was hard to see, as the rider was wearing dark clothing and riding a dark blue bicycle that lacked lights. 

The bicyclist died in the crash. He was identified as 66-year-old Michael Reed from Vallejo. It was determined that he had drugs and alcohol in his system at the time of the accident. The crash is under investigation.

The database contains medical device reports submitted to the FDA via its Alternative Summary Reporting Program from 1999 to 2019. Reports which were sent to this database were not, until recently, made public.
