Miguel Preciadonava, Oscar Campos Killed, 4 Injured in Crash on Highway 166 Near Black Road
3 Vehicles Collide in Fatal Santa Maria Accident
Santa Maria, CA (June 5, 2020) – Two people were killed and four were injured in a crash in Santa Maria. The fatal accident occurred on the evening of June 5 on Highway 166.
Miguel Preciadonava, 20, was driving a Nissan 350Z on eastbound Highway 166. He was on the shoulder, passing several vehicles, when he lost control of the car. He hit a Nissan Altima head-on. The Altima rolled over and ended up on the shoulder.
The 350Z then hit a Chevrolet Cobalt driven by Santa Maria man Nabor Ortizlopez, 28. The Cobalt landed on the westbound shoulder, while the 350Z landed on the eastbound shoulder.
Presciadonava and the driver of the Altima, Oscar Campos, 30, died at the accident scene. Both were from Santa Maria.
Three passengers in the Altima were injured. Two children – a 5-year-old boy and a 6-year-old girl – suffered moderate injuries and were airlifted to a local hospital. The third passenger, Beatriz Estrada, 28, of Santa Maria, complained of pain in her lower body. Ortizlopez injured his right hand.
