Motorcycle, Sedan Collide in Fatal Atwater Accident

Motorcycle Fatality

Atwater, CA (September 20, 2019) – A motorcyclist was killed in a crash in Atwater. The fatal accident occurred on the afternoon of September 20 at Santa Fe Drive and Avenue 2.

A motorcycle and a sedan collided at the intersection. A 30-year-old Winton man was riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle on Santa Fe Drive as a Nissan Altima driven by 61-year-old Winton resident Debra Ann Lay was turning left.

Lay failed to yield and the Nissan collided with the motorcycle. The motorcyclist died at the accident scene.
