Man Killed in Salinas Car Accident

Salinas, CA (April 24, 2018) – A rear-end accident in Salinas has left one person dead. Four vehicles were involved in the Salinas crash, which happened on April 24 on Highway 101 near Airport Boulevard. A Chevy Silverado was traveling on Highway 101 at a high rate of speed when it rear-ended a Chevy Cruze. The driver of the Silverado did not notice the lane closure ahead on Highway 101.

Three people were inside the Cruze at the time of the crash. One suffered fractured ribs, while another suffered a broken pelvis. One passenger, a 42-year-old man, was killed. An F-150 and a semi truck were also involved in the crash. The driver of the F-150 was not injured, and neither was the driver of the Silverado.

No arrests have been made in the Salinas crash. Highway 101 at Airport Boulevard reopened two hours after the accident.
