Sacramento Hit and Run Crash Leaves Woman Dead

Sacramento, CA (August 2, 2018) – A hit and run accident has left a pedestrian dead. The fatal crash happened on the morning of August 2 on Freeport Boulevard in Land Park.

The suspect, 63-year-old Kevin Schanz, of Sacramento, hit a female and fled. The woman died at the accident scene.

Schanz was later arrested for causing the crash. He was believed to be under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident. He faces several criminal charges, including hit and run, DUI and gross vehicular manslaughter.
