San Diego, CA (July 31, 2019) – A pedestrian was injured after getting hit by a car in San Diego. The accident occurred on the evening of July 31 on Pacific Highway near West Washington Street.

The victim was hit by a car on Pacific Highway near the San Diego International Airport. The victim was then hit by two other vehicles on the exit ramp off Pacific Highway near West Washington Street. 

The pedestrian was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries. The crash is under investigation.

E-Cigarette Use Linked To ‘Cobalt Lung’

A case study published in the European Respiratory Journal in December 2019 described a 49-year-old in California who developed hard-metal pneumoconiosis after using e-cigarettes for only six months. The disease is also known as “cobalt lung.” The National Institutes of Health describes the disease as a “rare but serious disease of the lungs associated with inhalational exposure to tungsten or cobalt dust.”
