Pedestrian Killed in Crash at Watt and Whitney Avenues


DUI Possible Cause of Fatal Sacramento Accident

Pedestrian Fatality

Sacramento, CA (August 18, 2019) – A pedestrian was killed in a crash in Sacramento. The fatal accident occurred on the evening of August 18 at Watt and Whitney avenues.

A pedestrian was hit by a car at the intersection. The unidentified victim died from their injuries. The driver remained at the accident scene. Although no arrests have been made yet, the driver is suspected of DUI.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to the friends and loved ones of the victim.

E-Cigarette Use Linked To ‘Cobalt Lung’

A case study published in the European Respiratory Journal in December 2019 described a 49-year-old in California who developed hard-metal pneumoconiosis after using e-cigarettes for only six months. The disease is also known as “cobalt lung.” The National Institutes of Health describes the disease as a “rare but serious disease of the lungs associated with inhalational exposure to tungsten or cobalt dust.”
