San Francisco, CA (August 10, 2019) – A pedestrian was killed in a crash in San Francisco. The fatal accident occurred on the evening of August 10 at 5th and Market streets.

A woman was hit by a car near the intersection. Paramedics arrived, but could not save her. She died at the accident scene. The driver remained at the crash scene. 

Our heartfelt condolences go out to the friends and loved ones of the victim.

E-Cigarette Use Linked To ‘Cobalt Lung’

A case study published in the European Respiratory Journal in December 2019 described a 49-year-old in California who developed hard-metal pneumoconiosis after using e-cigarettes for only six months. The disease is also known as “cobalt lung.” The National Institutes of Health describes the disease as a “rare but serious disease of the lungs associated with inhalational exposure to tungsten or cobalt dust.”
