Victim was Wanted for Assault Just Before Fatal San Francisco Accident

San Francisco, CA (July 4, 2019) – A person was hit and killed after running across a San Francisco freeway. The fatal accident occurred on the evening of July 4 on Interstate 280. 

The victim was running across northbound Interstate 280, near Geneva Avenue, when they were hit by a car. The person died from their injuries. The driver remained at the accident scene. 

The pedestrian was a suspect in an assault at the Muni Balboa Station. The suspect was fleeing police when they ran across the freeway.
