Driver Found, Taken Into Custody After Causing Fatal San Diego Accident

San Diego, CA (August 4, 2019) – A pedestrian was killed in a hit and run crash in San Diego. The fatal accident occurred on the morning of August 4 on Interstate 5.

The crash happened on northbound Interstate 5 at the Grand Avenue off-ramp. An unidentified man was hit by a white Volkswagen Passat and thrown into the air. The victim landed in the right shoulder. He was taken to a local hospital, where he later died. 

The driver fled the accident scene. The vehicle was later found parked around the corner from a home. The driver was found and taken into custody.
