
Police Officer Injured in Attack at Harbor Station
Officer Pistol Whipped in San Pedro Incident
San Pedro, CA (September 26, 2020) – A police officer was injured after a man shot at him at the Harbor Station. The attack occurred on the evening of September 26 in San Pedro.
A man entered a police station at 2175 John S Gibson Boulevard in San Pedro. A police officer went to meet with the man in the lobby. The man then took an officer’s gun and fired shots at him. The officer was also pistol-whipped during the attack.
The watch commander at the suspect as he was fleeing. The man ran to a white pickup truck, setting off a brief police chase. The man, believed to be around 29 years old, was arrested and taken into custody. He was treated for minor injuries before being booked.
The injured police officer was taken to Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, where he is being treated for bumps and bruises. The officer is resting and will be fine.
