Police Officer Injured in Crash on 98th Avenue


Man Arrested on Multiple Charges in Oakland Accident

Oakland, CA (July 9, 2019) – A police officer was injured in an intentional crash in Oakland. The accident occurred on the evening of July 9 on 98th Avenue.

A 40-year-old man from Hayward was driving a Nissan when he hit the police officer’s SUV. The officer was investigating a crash that happened just moments prior at Grace Baptist Church, located at 705 98th Avenue. 

Police found a stolen gun inside the man’s vehicle. He was arrested and charged with multiple crimes, including assault on a police officer, felony hit and run and various traffic and weapons charges.
