Elizabeth Balchowsky Arrested for Hit and Run in Santa Rosa Accident
Santa Rosa, CA (November 5, 2019) – A police officer was injured in a crash in Santa Rosa. The accident occurred on the morning of November 5 on Highway 12.
Elizabeth Balchowsky, 49, exited a driveway and sped onto eastbound Highway 12. She was speeding near a police officer and veered out of the way. The officer swerved his SUV and ended up on the center median. He slammed into a tree near Middle Rincon Valley Road.
The officer was hospitalized with moderate injuries. Balchowsky initially pulled over after the crash and took off. She returned in a Honda Fit an hour later. She was arrested for felony hit and run. She was booked into jail on $20,000 bail.
