Drunk Driver Causes Fatal West Sacramento Accident

West Sacramento, CA (February 15, 2021) – Two people were killed in a DUI crash in West Sacramento. The fatal accident occurred on the evening of February 15 on Jefferson Boulevard.

A suspected drunk driver collided head-on with a car traveling on Jefferson Boulevard, near Locks Drive. The drunk driver hit a family with parents and two children. The parents died at the accident scene. They have been identified as Rasul Afzili and Anila Afzili of West Sacramento. The children, ages 3 and 7 months, were injured and taken to a local hospital. The drunk driver suffered serious injuries and has been hospitalized but not yet arrested.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to the friends and loved ones of Rasul Afzili and Anila Afzili.
