2 Vehicles Involved in Fatal Thousand Palms Accident

Thousand Palms, CA (November 26, 2019) – One person was killed in a crash in Thousand Palms. The fatal accident occurred on the afternoon of November 26 at Varner Road and Jack Ivey Drive.

A Ford pickup truck and a Honda Civic collided at the intersection for unknown reasons. Robert Brian Grajiola, Jr., 28, of Thousand Palms, was killed in the crash. The driver of the truck remained at the accident scene.

E-Cigarette Use Linked To ‘Cobalt Lung’

A case study published in the European Respiratory Journal in December 2019 described a 49-year-old in California who developed hard-metal pneumoconiosis after using e-cigarettes for only six months. The disease is also known as “cobalt lung.” The National Institutes of Health describes the disease as a “rare but serious disease of the lungs associated with inhalational exposure to tungsten or cobalt dust.”
