Car Submerges in Water in Fatal Bass Lake Accident

Bass Lake, CA (September 11, 2019) – Two people were killed when a car went off a road and overturned into Bass Lake. The fatal accident occurred on the morning of September 11 on Road 222. 

Samuel Rosasco, 21, of Oakhurst, was heading east on Road 222, near Road 426, when he lost control of his vehicle around a curve. The car crashed into an embankment and overturned into the lake. The car was found submerged in the water along Road 222. The bodies of Rosasco and his passenger, Karina Barnett, 17, of Ahwahnee, were found by a dive team.
