Security Guard Injured While Working at Food 4 Less in Victorville


Ryan Morgan Arrested for Assaulting Employee

Victorville, CA (September 7, 2020) – A man was arrested after assaulting a security guard at Food 4 Less. The incident happened on the afternoon of September 7 at 14700 La Paz Drive.

A 27-year-old homeless man, identified as Ryan Morgan, was caught shoplifting inside the grocery store. When he was confronted by security guards, the man used a metal threshold from a door and hit one in the face.

The Victorville Police Department attempted to make contact with Morgan in the parking lot. The man threw water in the deputy’s face and would not follow his orders. The deputy used a taser, but it was ineffective. Morgan fled but was eventually caught and arrested by the deputy.

Morgan was booked at High Desert Detention Center for assault with a deadly weapon and resisting arrest. His bail is set at $50,000. The security guard was injured and taken to a local hospital.
