Car Goes Off Road in Chico Accident

Chico, CA (July 8, 2020) – A man was injured in a solo-vehicle crash in Chico. The accident occurred on the evening of July 8 on Cohasset Road.

A man was driving a Toyota sedan on Cohasset Road, near Boeing Avenue, when the vehicle left the roadway. The driver overcorrected but the Toyota left the roadway again. It then flipped over. Police officers found the vehicle upside down in a ravine. 

The driver, identified as 49-year-old, Shareef Abouzeid, was inside the vehicle. He was rescued by emergency crews. He suffered major injuries and taken to a local hospital.
