San Jose, CA (December 25, 2019) – A shooting suspect was hit and killed by a woman in San Jose. The fatal accident occurred on the morning of December 25 on East Santa Clara Street,

Officers were responding to a burglar alarm in the 1200 block of East Santa Clara Street when they were flagged down about a man lying in the street. The victim appeared to be hit by a vehicle. Officers found an unconscious man lying next to a loaded gun. He was taken to a local hospital, where he later died.

The man had been in an argument with another man and show him before fleeing on foot. San Jose resident Sabrina Marie Gutierrez, 22, who was a relative of the shooting victim, used her vehicle to run down the gunman. She drove a vehicle onto a sidewalk and hit the man before fleeing the accident scene.

The shooting victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a local hospital. Gutierrez was arrested and booked into jail on a vehicular homicide charge.
