Steve Wink Dies While Helping First Responders During LNU Lightning Complex Fire


PG&E Lineman Found Dead in Fatal Vacaville Incident

Vacaville, CA (August 19, 2020) – A lineman working for Pacific Gas and Electric was killed while helping first responders during the LNU Lightning Complex wildfire. The fatal incident occurred on the afternoon of August 19 in the Gates Canyon area of Vacaville.

Steve Wink, 60, was clearing infrastructure for first responders battling the fire at the LNU Lightning Complex. The Vacaville-based PG&E worker was later found unconscious in his vehicle. He was taken to a local hospital, where he later died.
