Head-on Accident in Gerber Causes Fatality, Major Injuries

Gerber, CA (December 10, 2019) – A woman was killed and three others were injured in a crash in Gerber. The fatal accident occurred on the morning of December 10 on Old Highway 99 at Rodeo Avenue.

Tamera Elaine Flynn, 37, and Jarrod Loyd Flynn, 36, of Red Bluff, were both riding in a Ford truck. Fernando Leon, 21, of Corning, was driving a Honda Civic and was passing another car when the two vehicles collided head-on. A southbound Chevrolet pickup truck then crashed into the disabled Ford. The Honda landed on the westbound shoulder.

Tamera Flynn was airlifted to a local hospital, where she later died. Jarrod Flynn suffered a broken ankle and possible internal injuries. Neither were wearing a seatbelt.

Fernando Leon and his passenger, 46-year-old Bradley Myers of Red Bluff, were hospitalized with minor injuries. The driver of the Chevrolet truck suffered minor injuries.
