SUV Hits Guardrail, Goes Off Road in Fatal Escondido Accident

Escondido, CA (December 9, 2019) – A man was killed in a solo-vehicle crash in Escondido. The fatal accident occurred on the morning of December 9 on Interstate 15.

A 34-year-old man from Menifee was driving a Nissan Kicks SUV on southbound Interstate 15, near Via Rancho Parkway. The vehicle veered to the right for unknown reasons. The Nissan went across all lanes and hit a guardrail. It then went 50 feet off the road. A CHP officer tried to help the injured driver, but the man died at the accident scene. He has been identified as Teel Whitton
