18-Year-Old Man Not Wearing Seatbelt, Killed in Buttonwillow Crash

Buttonwillow, CA (October 15, 2018) – A teen was killed in a Buttonwillow crash involving an overturned oilfield bucket truck. The fatal accident occurred on the morning of October 15 on Highway 58.
A Chevrolet truck was traveling on Highway 58, near Corn Camp Road, when it drifted onto the shoulder. The 18-year-old male driver overcorrected and the truck rolled over.
The man, a Bakersfield resident, was not wearing a seatbelt. He was ejected from the truck and pinned between the truck and the roadway. He died at the accident scene.
