3 Vehicles Involved in Fatal Costa Mesa Accident

Costa Mesa, CA (November 22, 2018) – A 17-year-old boy from San Diego was killed in a big rig crash in Costa Mesa. The fatal accident occurred on the morning of November 22 on the 405 Freeway.

A Fiat 500 driven by an 18-year-old man hit a vehicle that became disabled on the freeway near Harbor Boulevard. The driver of the Fiat was ejected from the vehicle. He suffered major injuries.

Another 18-year-old man who was a passenger in the Fiat walked to the right shoulder of the freeway. A big rig being driven by a 63-year-old man approached the accident scene and could not stop in time. The big rig collided with the front of the Fiat.

A 17-year-old passenger in the Fiat died at the accident scene. Another passenger was hospitalized with major injuries.
