Pickup Truck with 7 Teens Overturns in Fatal San Pasqual Valley Accident

San Pasqual Valley, CA (January 4, 2020) – One person was killed in a solo-vehicle crash in San Pasqual Valley. The fatal accident occurred on the morning of January 4 at Summit Drive and Old Pasqual Road.

An 18-year-old man was driving a Toyota Tundra. There was a 17-year-old inside the truck and five teens in the bed of the truck, ages 17 and 18. The truck took a fast turn onto Old Pasqual Road, causing the truck to go off the road and overturn. 

Five teens were ejected from the bed of the truck. They were thrown onto the road. One of the teens, an 18-year-old man from Escondido, was taken to a local hospital, where he later died.

The other four teens were hospitalized with moderate and serious injuries. The two teens inside the truck cab suffered minor injuries.
