Heavy Rain Causes Fatal Coarsegold Accident

Coarsegold, CA (December 8, 2019) – One person was killed and three others were injured in a crash in Coarsegold. The fatal accident occurred just before noon on December 8 on Highway 41.

A Chevrolet Malibu was heading northbound on Highway 41, near Road 208, when the driver lost control in heavy rain. The vehicle slid onto the opposite lanes and hit a Ford sedan and a Toyota pickup.

The driver of the Malibu, identified as Terry Lee Lishman, 74, of Coarsegold, died at the accident scene. The driver of the Toyota pickup, as well as the driver and a passenger in the Ford, suffered minor injuries and were taken to a local hospital.
