Grass Valley, CA (August 3, 2020) – A Waste Management employee was killed in a crash in Grass Valley. The fatal accident occurred on the morning of August 3 on McCourtney Road.

Waste Management employee Michael Jodoin, 59, from Rough and Ready, was cleaning up alongside McCourtney Road, near the Nevada County Fairgrounds, when he was hit by a car. The driver fled the accident scene. Jodoin died from his injuries. 

Investigators were able to locate the driver’s address. The driver, 47-year-old Amy Hannan from Grass Valley, was later arrested. She was booked into the Wayne Brown Correctional Facility and is facing charges of DUI and felony hit and run.
