Woman Killed, 2 Injured in Crash on Pacific Coast Highway Near Grand Avenue


Osvaldo Ramirez-Vazquez Arrested for DUI, Manslaughter in Fatal Long Beach Accident

Long Beach, CA (August 18, 2019) – A woman was killed and two others were injured in a DUI crash in Long Beach. The fatal accident occurred on the morning of August 18 on the Pacific Coast Highway.

Osvaldo Ramirez-Vazquez was traveling east on the Pacific Coast Highway. He was speeding in a Lincoln Town Car when he lost control near Grand Avenue. He broadsided the passenger door of a Cadillac XTS.

A 21-year-old woman from Bellflower was trapped inside the Lincoln. Firefighters were able to remove her from the car. She was taken to a local hospital, where she later died.

The driver of the Cadillac, a 49-year-old man from Garden Grove, was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries. Ramirez-Vazquez also suffered minor injuries. He was arrested for DUI and vehicular manslaughter.
