Woman Killed in Crash at Academy and Sierra Avenues


Bicycle, Pickup Truck Collide in Fatal Clovis Accident

Clovis, CA (December 7, 2020) – A woman was killed in a bicycle crash in Clovis. The fatal accident occurred on the evening of December 7 at Academy and Sierra avenues.

A 73-year-old woman was riding her bicycle along the right shoulder of Academy Avenue when she veered to the left and was hit by a Toyota Sequoia pickup at the intersection. The woman landed in the road. She was airlifted to a local hospital, where she later died. The 40-year-old man driving the Toyota remained at the accident scene.
