Logging Truck Involved in Fatal Sonora Accident

Sonora, CA (November 14, 2018) – A woman was killed in a crash with a logging truck in Sonora. The fatal accident happened on the morning of November 14 at Highway 108 and Highway 49.

A Sonora woman, 34, was driving a Honda Civic on Highway 108. She was ahead of a loaded logging truck driven by Tyler Hughes, 25, of Wallace. The woman went onto the right shoulder and attempted a U-turn, right into the truck’s path.

The Peterbilt hit the side of the Civic, killing the woman. Hughes was uninjured.
