Car Hits Victim in Fatal San Jose Pedestrian Accident

San Jose, CA (December 28, 2019) – A woman was killed in a pedestrian crash in San Jose. The fatal accident occurred on the evening of December 28 at Oakland Road and McKay Drive.

A 63-year-old woman was crossing the intersection outside of a crosswalk when she was hit by a Toyota Tundra. She was taken to a local hospital, where she later died. The driver of the vehicle remained at the accident scene.

E-Cigarette Use Linked To ‘Cobalt Lung’

A case study published in the European Respiratory Journal in December 2019 described a 49-year-old in California who developed hard-metal pneumoconiosis after using e-cigarettes for only six months. The disease is also known as “cobalt lung.” The National Institutes of Health describes the disease as a “rare but serious disease of the lungs associated with inhalational exposure to tungsten or cobalt dust.”
