Woman Killed in Crash on 15 Freeway

Man Arrested for DUI in Fatal Newberry Springs Accident 

Newberry Springs, CA (December 20, 2020) – A woman was killed in a DUI crash in Newberry Springs. The fatal accident occurred on the afternoon of December 20 on 15 Freeway.

A Chevy Tahoe was traveling on the 15 Freeway when it was rear-ended by a Honda Civic, driven by a 26-year-old San Bernardino man. The Chevy went to the left and overturned into the center divider, landing on its roof. A passenger in the Chevy, a 36-year-old Barstow woman, died at the accident scene. The driver of the Chevy and the occupants of the Honda suffered minor injuries. The driver of the Honda was intoxicated and arrested for DUI.
