Woman Killed in Crash on Highway 198 Near 2nd Avenue

2 Vehicles Involved in Fatal Hanford Accident

Hanford, CA (January 5, 2021) – A woman was killed in a crash in Hanford. The fatal accident occurred on the evening of January 5 on Highway 198.

A Hyundai was speeding on westbound Highway 198, near 2nd Avenue, when it rear-ended a Toyota. The impact caused both vehicles to go off the road. The Toyota overturned. 

A passenger in the Toyota, a 56-year-old woman, died at the accident scene. The driver of the Toyota, a 51-year-old man, was hospitalized with major injuries. The driver of the Hyundai suffered minor injuries.
